Terminal #4 Refurbishment
Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

The renovation of Terminal #4 consisted of reconstructing public restrooms and entrance vestibules, replacement of ceilings, wall and floor finishes, installation of new millwork including the airline ticket counters and gate counters, installation of a new state-of-the-art fire alarm system, and the installation of a fire sprinkler system. Additionally, communications infrastructure was renewed as well as new static and dynamic signage (EVIDS) and flight information display systems (FIDS) were also provided.
During this major renovation, the terminal remained in full operation and AFCO had to work extensively with Department of Aviation, airlines and other parties to maintain safety and security in the terminal.
